I was catching up this morning on all the blogs I normally read when I came across one from Adam Irby entitled "SEX IS IMPORTANT, DAMMIT!" As soon as I read the title, I asked myself, "really?" I understand what he was getting at in his blog (...basically, you're with a man that was giving you sex in the beginning and now because you're not getting it on the regular you're bothered by it). Where am I going with this, you may be wondering. Well, I wanted to share my opinion on the title alone and know what you may think. Is sex important?
Personally, I don't believe that sex is important UNLESS it's something that both parties want in their relationship. I know a guy that has been dating his partner now since the end of February and they have yet to have sex. It's not a problem with the two of them because they understand what's going on. Hmmm, makes me think about one of my previous blogs, "Online Chatting and Dating", May 02, 2008. My number one rule is establish ground rules. Put everything out in the open.
To Adam, I personally believe that in the beginning, "Earl" was doing what he needed to be with you, but now, SELF is taking over and letting you know that he's not as sexual as you want him to be. Even though everything is going great, if sex is the only problem you're having with him and that's the only thing you're bringing up, it's going to seem as if that's all you want from him. Regardless to whether you're giving him your all. You believe that sex is an important part of a relationship. Just to put it in plain site, "Earl" is not the man for you to be with. What you're asking him to do is compromise what he believes is fair. There is no middle ground for the two of you. Let it go.
Readers, let me know what you think. Is sex really important? Also, check out Adam's Weblog and let him know how you feel about his situation.
**I know some of you have been messaging me asking me for another juicy story. I'm working on one for you now. And to those that are curious of whether it's something I've experienced, I simply say, remember that I have a creative mind. I allow it to wander and my fingers to do the typing. Have a good week.
